Issues Management Guide
The MVCAC PR committee held an issues management workshop during the fall board meeting in Visalia to discuss best practices for how to identify issues and manage communications during a crisis. It was attended by general managers and communications staff from districts around the state and provided valuable information about how districts can addresses their threats and weaknesses and effectively handle media interviews and communications with stakeholders and the general public during a crisis. There was an interactive message development portion and a media interview batting practice that provided districts an opportunity to put this information into action.
